How we are doing our part.

Good Earth Floral Design Studio is proud to be as eco-friendly as possible. There is so much wasted product and so many dangerous chemicals used in the commercial floral industry. We know it is time for a change, so we have committed to building a sustainable and non-toxic company.

Recycling and reusing as much as possible
Renting/Recycling vases for events
Composting all plant waste
Using recycled paper and stationary
Supporting environmentally and socially conscious flower farms and growers

Why eco?

Very often, making environmentally friendly choices can be confusing. Sometimes, we’re not even aware the option is out there or we are not sure why we should care. Here are some fast facts to help making eco-smart decisions much easier when it comes to event planning.

Fast Facts

A study by the International Labor Rights Fund last year found that two-thirds of the flower-trade employees in Colombia and Ecuador had work-related health problems, many as a result of pesticide exposure. They often worked up to 80 hours a week, for $6 a day.

When you chose to purchase Organic, Veriflora certified, and Fair Trade certified flowers, you are making sure these workers and farmers get a fair wage and that their health and the health of our earth is not negatively affected by pesticides.

Flowers that are grown locally, Organically, Veriflora Certified and Fair Trade Certified are just as beautiful, more fragrant, and stay beautiful longer than conventional flowers.
